Antony Haynes, a Nutritional Therapist of 30 years’ experience will explain why we NEED to be ever more optimally nourished beyond the age of 50 ! He will present the logic and science behind why we need to increase the micro-nutrient density in our diet as we age. Antony will discuss ten classic hallmarks of aging and how nutritional intake can help to address these. He will also focus on the need for protein as we age and explain two key aspects of protein nutrition as we head into the sixth and seventh decades of life. Antony will also answer questions after the presentation.

Antony has been in private practice for over 25 years and is one of the most experienced Registered Nutritional Therapists in the UK. He is one of the first practitioners to implement the principles of Functional Medicine in the UK, since 1994.
Antony has been teaching for 25 years including at a variety of nutritional colleges (ION, CNELM, BCNH, CNM) and at IFM in the USA, as well as for Nutri-Link Ltd a company he co-founded in 1998. He has presented lectures, seminars and courses on a wide variety of subjects over those years. In particular, Antony has been studying the connection between viruses and bacteria and their role in the pathogenesis of auto-immune conditions. He is known as the practitioners’ practitioner. He is also a successful, award-winning author of two books on nutrition.
